In short: Dantria Design is a Miami kitchen design and remodeling firm with 3 years in business, planning and managing complete kitchen remodels for homes and condominiums across Miami-Dade County, including Hialeah, and Broward County. Kitchen cabinetry projects start around $20,000, with countertops, appliances, lighting, backsplash and flooring priced separately. Every kitchen is designed in 3D first: clients review photoreal renders and walk through the space in virtual reality before anything is ordered. Dantria then coordinates cabinetry, natural stone, trades and finishes, and most kitchens are finished in about 8 weeks once work begins.

Why Dantria

See your kitchen before it is built

Most remodel regrets come from decisions made off a flat drawing. At Dantria you see photoreal renders of your kitchen and walk through it in VR, and the designer who created it stays on the project until the last cabinet pull is set.

Walk through your kitchen in VR before demolition day.

3D renders and VR walkthroughs

Put on a headset and stand in your future kitchen at full scale. Check island clearances, sight lines, cabinet heights and how the stone and lighting feel before anything is ordered.

A fixed, itemized proposal

You see cabinetry, stone, appliances and labor line by line before signing. Changes are priced in writing before they happen.

Your building, coordinated

We prepare the drawings and documents condo associations ask for and plan around elevator reservations and work hours.

One point of contact

A single project lead answers your calls, runs the schedule and sends progress photos every week.

Built for Miami conditions

Moisture-resistant cabinet construction, stone chosen for how you actually cook, and details that hold up to salt air and humidity.

How a Miami kitchen remodel comes together

A full kitchen remodel with Dantria runs in two phases: about 3 to 6 weeks of design and selections, then typically 8 weeks of construction. Here is how the kitchen goes back together.

  1. Free in-home consultation

    Week 1

We measure the space, look at plumbing, electrical and structure, and talk through how you cook, entertain and store things, plus a realistic budget range.

  2. Design, 3D renders and VR walkthrough

    Weeks 2-4

Layout options, elevations and photoreal renders, then a virtual reality walkthrough of your kitchen at full scale. You choose cabinetry, stone, tile, appliances and lighting with a designer and adjust anything that does not feel right.

  3. Fixed proposal and schedule

    Week 4

An itemized price and a week-by-week schedule. Long-lead items like custom cabinets and slabs are ordered as soon as you approve.

  4. Ordering and scheduling

    Weeks 4-8

Cabinetry, stone and appliances are ordered, trades are scheduled, and for condos the design is submitted to the association for approval.

  5. Protection and demolition

    Construction week 1

Floors, elevators and adjoining rooms are protected, the old kitchen comes out, and hidden conditions are documented with photos.

  6. Rough-in

    Weeks 1-2

New plumbing, electrical circuits, ventilation and any wall changes are completed before walls are closed.

  7. Cabinetry, stone and tile

    Weeks 3-6

Cabinets are installed and leveled, countertops are templated and fabricated to the installed boxes, then backsplash and flooring go in.

  8. Finishes and final walkthrough

    Weeks 7-8

Appliances, fixtures, hardware and lighting are installed, then we walk the kitchen with you and close out every punch-list item.

2026 pricing

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Miami?

With Dantria, kitchen cabinetry starts around $20,000. In a recent West Kendall kitchen, the new cabinets, tall units and island came to $20,000-$30,000. Countertops, appliances, lighting, backsplash and flooring are extras, priced separately based on the materials you choose.

The cabinetry range comes from Dantria’s recent West Kendall project. Extras depend on the materials you choose and are added to your proposal line by line.
Part of the kitchenPriceWhat it covers
Cabinetry$20,000-$30,000New flat-panel cabinets, tall storage units and an island, as in the West Kendall project. Size, finishes and custom details move the price within or above this range.
CountertopsPriced separatelyQuartz, quartzite or natural stone, templated after the cabinets are installed.
AppliancesPriced separatelyFrom standard packages to integrated, panel-ready suites.
Lighting, backsplash and flooringPriced separatelyUnder-cabinet and pendant lighting, tile or slab backsplash, and new floors if you want them.

Cabinetry

The core of the project. The number of tall units, the size of the island and custom details set most of the price.

Countertops

Quartz is the most predictable price. Quartzite and exotic marble such as Calacatta Viola vary widely by slab.

Layout changes

Moving a sink, range or wall adds plumbing, electrical, ventilation and structural work, plus engineering in some cases.

Appliances

An extra on top of cabinetry. Standard packages are modest, while integrated premium suites raise the total quickly.

High-rise condos

Elevator booking, restricted work hours and association requirements add time and labor to the same kitchen.

Hidden conditions

Older Miami homes can reveal aging cast-iron drains or undersized electrical service. We plan a contingency for it up front.

Local knowledge

What makes a kitchen remodel in Miami different

Condo rules, humidity, salt air and older construction all shape a Miami kitchen. Planning for them early is what keeps a project on schedule.

Condominium associations

Miami condo boards typically require an alteration application, set work hours, reserved service elevators and sometimes sound-rated underlayment for new floors. Approval can take a few weeks, so we start it in parallel with design.

Humidity and salt air

Year-round humidity is hard on particleboard cabinet boxes and some painted finishes. We favor plywood construction, sealed edges, stainless or solid brass hardware near the coast, and ventilation that actually vents outside.

Hurricane-rated windows and doors

Miami-Dade and Broward counties make up Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. If your kitchen project includes a new window or patio door, impact-rated products are required and have longer lead times, so we plan for them from the first design session.

Older homes and historic neighborhoods

Many homes in Coral Gables, Miami Shores and Coconut Grove date to the 1920s through 1960s. Expect older plumbing and electrical that must be brought to current code, and extra planning if exterior changes are part of the project.

Choosing materials for a Florida kitchen

For most Miami kitchens we recommend plywood cabinet boxes, a quartz or quartzite work surface, and marble where it can be admired more than it is worked on.

Countertops: quartz, quartzite or marble?

Quartz is non-porous, consistent and the lowest-maintenance choice for busy kitchens. Quartzite is a natural stone that is harder than marble and handles heat well, but needs periodic sealing. Marble, including dramatic stones like Calacatta Viola, etches from lemon and wine, so it suits islands, hoods and backsplashes for owners who like a lived-in patina.

Cabinetry that survives humidity

Plywood boxes resist swelling far better than particleboard. Sealed edges, soft-close hardware rated for heavy use, and a finish suited to the room’s light keep doors straight and color true for years.

Hardware, fixtures and lighting

Solid brass and stainless steel hold up to coastal air better than plated finishes. We plan lighting in layers, with task light over work surfaces and warm dimmable light for evenings.

How the VR walkthrough works

Once your design is modeled, you put on a VR headset and walk through your kitchen at real scale, even inside the empty room after demolition. Open the pantry, stand at the sink, sit at the island and see the stone under the lighting plan. Changes are made in the model and reviewed again, so the kitchen you approve is the kitchen that gets built.

Miami kitchen remodel questions, answered

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Miami in 2026?

With Dantria Design, kitchen cabinetry starts around $20,000. In a recent West Kendall kitchen, new cabinets, tall storage units and an island cost $20,000-$30,000. Countertops, appliances, lighting, backsplash and flooring are extras priced separately, so the total depends on the materials you choose. Dantria lists every item in a fixed proposal.

How long does a kitchen remodel take in Miami?

A typical Dantria kitchen remodel takes about 8 weeks of construction, after roughly 3 to 6 weeks of design, 3D renders, VR walkthrough and ordering. Larger projects with layout changes, custom millwork or high-rise condo restrictions can take 12 weeks or more.

Can I remodel my condo kitchen in Miami, and what does the association require?

Yes. Most Miami condominium associations require an alteration application, approved work hours and a reserved service elevator. Some also require sound-rated underlayment for new floors. Approval typically takes two to four weeks, so Dantria submits it while your design is being finalized.

Do I have to move out during a kitchen remodel?

Most homeowners stay in the home. We seal the work area with dust barriers, protect floors and help you set up a temporary kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee station in another room. Moving out is only worth considering if the remodel also includes flooring throughout the home or major structural work.

What countertops hold up best in Florida humidity?

Quartz is the lowest-maintenance option because it is non-porous and never needs sealing. Quartzite is a strong natural alternative that resists heat and scratches but should be sealed about once a year. Marble is beautiful but etches from acids, so many Miami homeowners use it on islands, hoods and backsplashes rather than the main prep area.

Is cabinet refacing worth it compared to new cabinets?

Refacing can make sense when the existing cabinet boxes are solid plywood, the layout works and the budget is limited. In many Miami homes the original boxes are particleboard that has absorbed moisture over time, and the layout no longer fits how the family cooks, so new cabinetry is the better long-term value.

Does a kitchen remodel increase home value in Miami?

A well-designed kitchen is one of the renovations Miami buyers notice most, and it helps homes sell faster and closer to asking price. Mid-range remodels generally recover more of their cost at sale than ultra-luxury ones, so the best return comes from matching the kitchen to the level of the home and neighborhood.

What is a VR kitchen walkthrough?

A VR kitchen walkthrough lets you explore your new kitchen in virtual reality at full scale before construction starts. Dantria builds a 3D model of your design, and during a design session you put on a headset to walk the room, check clearances, cabinet heights and sight lines, and see materials under the planned lighting.

How long has Dantria Design been in business?

Dantria Design has been in business for 3 years, designing and remodeling kitchens and custom closets across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Recent kitchen projects include a modern waterfall-island kitchen and a full kitchen replacement with an on-site VR walkthrough, both in West Kendall.

Why use 3D renders and VR before remodeling a kitchen?

Renders and VR catch problems that are hard to see on a floor plan, such as an island that feels too tight, uppers hung too high or a stone pattern that overwhelms the room. Fixing those in the design model costs nothing, while fixing them after cabinets and countertops are installed is expensive and slow.

Which areas does Dantria Design serve?

Dantria Design serves Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In Miami-Dade that includes Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Kendall, West Kendall, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Brickell, Downtown Miami, Coconut Grove, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Doral, Aventura and Homestead.
